Hi Simbah

This is covered in the Towns & Cities section of the forum:
http://www.coachdriverforum.co.uk/towns/showentry.php?e=87&catid=10&ltr=B (http://www.coachdriverforum.co.uk/welcome/../towns/showentry.php?e=87&catid=10&ltr=B)

But, in summary, there are three coach parks:

The Fish Market - This is the most commonly used but is quite small (7 bays) and there is a small charge for using it (although I don't think it's enforced but don't hold me to that!). It is located at the junction of Boulevard Gambetta and Pont Marguet.

Nausicaa - This is the sea life centre in Boulogne and has parking for approx 50 coaches. It is free and does fill up as busy times! It is located next to Nausicaa (follow the signs!) and the entrance to the coach park is off Quai Gambetta. Note: It is quite a long walk for passengers from here to the town.

The Old Town - There are 3-4 coach bays (they've just moved them around and repainted everything) which are located at the back of the car park along the bottom of the old town walls. Entrance is on Boulevard Auguste Marlette near the junction with Rue Tour Notre Dame.

Best places for dropping off are in the coach parks. You can drop on bus stops or in loading bays, etc on some of the streets in the town centre itself but the problem then is that is is highly unlikely you'll get back in the same spot when it's time to pickup again. There are plenty of wardens in Boulogne too.

Cheers

Thanks for that I think I'll go to the old town as I've heard the shops close in the afternoon apart from the bars and cafes

ive been to boulonge many times and what ive found what works best drop at the fish market which is just pass the nausicca then go up 2 the old town by the cathedral but tell everybody 2 go back 2 fish market cos parking in old town is shocking, depending on time u can always go to the auchan hypermarket which is on the outskirts and is signposted and u get a 15e voucher in there 2. have a good day

Hi Phil not sure about the 15E at the Auchan. Took coach in there last year and they seemed uninterested. But still my preffered shopping stop on way home that way, better than Citi europe, not so busy, no immigrants and closer parking.

I'm in Auchun in Boulogne there several times each year and always get the voucher no problem. Was last there in June and was OK.

Must have gone to wrong bit, where do you go rog? just got the shoulder shrug, even speaking french.

I'm popping over to boulogne with the kids in car next week for end of holidays quick break. Will have a good look when I buy my Fromage, cafe and vin.
