Hi there Chris,

I've not taken a coach to Chelmsford but I did live there for a few years. The Magistrates Court is in the centre of town, at the top of the High Street. I'm sure it will be very busy with shoppers on a Saturday. Its 'bus friendly' though.

I can't offer any formal instructions or guidance but I would proabably plan on dropping the passengers off on one of the Bus Stops just a few hundred yards from the Court. You can then bear hard right to go and park up somewhere. Again, I don't know of any offcial sites. The Bus Station is probably a non-starter. Regal Busways yard used to be on the A414 just outside Chelmsford. You could go and sit out the way there maybe.

Rog may come up trumps with this one. It's on Golden Boys 'manor'...

Sorry I can't be of any more use - best of luck and don't forget your Essex Boy white socks!

Man of Kent is right about where the court is and about dropping off. Don't take the mickey on the bus stops and you should get left alone. As for parking, I park in one of two places. There are 3-4 coach bays at the swimming pool/leisure centre on Victoria Road. Failing that, head out the Boreham services on the A12. There's a couple of cach bays behind the toilets at the bottom end of the lorry park or just use the lorry park itself. Should be plenty of room on a Saturday. Do be aware that it is a fave haunt of VOSA......

As an absolute last resrt, all of the main roads in and out of Chelmsford have nice big laybys.

Cheers

Rog
