some of these dealers are taking the proverbial,for example today i called west cars sabb to price a washer motor unit for a saab 95 on a 99 plate.
£200 plus vat the man says,so after i picked myself up of the floor iset off to the local scrap yard a spanner screwdriver some blood and swearing later i came out with said motor fro the price of £15.note to self always buy older cars where parts are readly available.:bash:

£17 plus vat for a bulb for a instrument cluster!!! 99p from a autofactor, bit of imagination and DIY it works a treat..

How they get away with it ill never know:nono:

Had to have a ball joint done for my mot - mercs price £79 +vat, local parts shop £24+vat

Did brake overhaul on Land rover freelander. Parts from main agent needed mortgage. Saw advert on ebay for shoes for rear brakes. Had talk with the vendor found that same parts for Ford and LDV were fitted by Land rover. Bought all parts needed less than £60. Rear shoes and cylinders front discs and pads.
