If you're heading into deepest, darkest Cornwall there's a stop off on the A38 at Bovey Tracey in Devon.
Take the A382 junction towards Bovey then left at the first roundabout and you will find the House of Marbles (http://www.houseofmarbles.com/the-house-of-marbles-at-bovey-tracey).
Sounds boring and it probably is (never bothered looking around) but it's got good coach parking, a nice cafe and they give you a free cup of tea and a couple of sandwiches.
Was a favourite with local Shearings drivers.
