This makes frightening reading if you work for a company that feels that they are above the law and expect or demand that drivers take out vehicles that are unfit.

Over the years with different small coach firms, I have lost count of the times I have been told to say: "It was ok when I left the yard" if stopped:protest:

Hi. I had a read yesterday,makes you think is the job worth doing anymore as you can get fined for something simple like not having a paper roll for your digi tacho.I am all for safety but it does make you think. Jim

I think this is more aimed at our forign drivers, who take the micky out of our system. One VOSA chap i was talking to at Chester a good few months ago was telling me how fustrating it was seeing drivers get away with murder so to speak.

However you will always get the jobsworth who wants to be the first to fine somebody for something silly...
