:question:DONGLES:question:

Hi Guys

How are you getting on with your dongles?

Which is the best provider for UK coverage.?

How much per month?

Are you charging with an inverter or have you a specific car charger?

Any feedback much appreciated

Andy

A dongle is a small device that looks like a "pen drive"/ "memory stick" that you slot into your PC, laptop, netbook etc that provides a mobile broadband signal on either contract or pay as you go.
I am warmed by the fact that it is not only me that is a "gismophobic" (Have I invented a new word?):roflmao:

I use a 3 dongle, its ace! Not the fastest thing in the world, but does for internet brousing, cheacking emails etc.

£10 a month winner in my book! As for coverage its been really good, its not worked in only a couple of places. Great for long days parked up.

as for inverters you can get them at pc world for laptops, i use one a little bigger. 350w jobbie for £25 from screwfix i think it was.

Yeah the transfer rate is it Matt. Usually when it connects it might say "3 is connected at xx kbps".

My 3 Dongle works well was £7.50 a month but now less a further 2.5% vat:clap:. With 5gb allowance have never gone over the limit, and done away with my home broadband. Saving all round.

Eh not sure???!!! Think its only one gig, but ive never gone over it. I get 30h a month brousing, never down load anything off it, it takes to long! So as a result ive never paid more than £10. I hammer it when im on tour as well.

Karl, still aint pluged the dongle in yet LOL. Ill have a look later as ive been in Paris for 4 days...

i use a 3 network dongle. they had a deal on where as if you have got a mobile phone with em you get it for £5 a month for a 1gig allowence. i thought that 1 gig wasnt enough so i got a couple of em as they were only a fiver per month but ive never used my allowance yet cos i use my 20mbps home broadband to download stuff and just use the dongles to browse the web.

hope that helps

oh btw i charge using an inverter
