Norton Canes

Sad to report the first time let down by Roadchef.I pulled into Norton Canes on the Toll road at about 5.15am.The food was shut but no probs the coffee bit was open.Went to the girl said "Can I have a coffee please I,ve got 45 on board." The reply was I cant process your card as I dont know the pin and your going to have to pay for the coffee".I told her we dont but she said she didnt know how to do it so I would definately have to pay.I asked about vouchers for the toll and she handed one over.As I had no money I had to do without the drink which did nothing for my sense of humour.First time I,ve ever had a problem.

me personally would have told her i was taking the coffee as its not my fault she didnt bother to find out how to do the scheme i deffinatley would not have paid,

noticed it in alot of places though, they always get assistance from another member of staff

I thought about it but the large hairy arsed copper stood there looking quizical put me off the idea.

Went there yesturday and was told I have to have a card to get the Toll pass. I'm not there long enough to even drink a coffee so never bothered applying.

Mind you the last time i was in there I asked if I could give the filled out form to her as the address to send it to is Norton Canes services. She said no you'll have to post it! :ranting2:

Bad luck there John,have been there myself when all thats open is the coffee shop and got one,just could not put money on my card,but still got a free coffee and toll pass.Just some job worth that doesn't know the rules:2up::ranting2:
